What we’re noticing:

  • Whoa! Cold!

  • Lawns are much less stressed than they were throughout the first half of the summer. They are also growing much less.

What we’re doing:

  1. Our Fall winterizing application that will clean up the weeds and quickly supply nutrients for root growth.

What you can be doing:

  1. Keep watering as needed. You can mow progressively lower up to the end of October; each lawn is different so we can’t tell you a height but you shouldn’t be scalping any turf. Short grass going into winter will reduce the likelihood of turf disease (snow mold) over the winter. More mowing and watering tips here.
